My Norton Women

...We provide the best possible care – at every stage of life.

For most women, time is the most precious commodity. Women manage to make time for careers, families, friends and everything that extends from those responsibilities. But the one thing women can’t seem to make time for is the most important – taking care of themselves. That’s why Norton Women’s Care is making it easier for all women to access the comprehensive services they need at every stage of life.

Watch the video below about the remarkable care available at Norton Women’s Care.

Women’s health care needs are unique. That’s why Norton Women’s Care offers a special combination of resources and programs designed to provide individual, compassionate care and specialized treatment – including free classes, patient navigators, online health information and access to these outstanding services:

  • Obstetric care – More expectant parents choose to deliver their babies at Norton Hospital or Norton Suburban Hospital than any hospital in the region. At Norton Women’s Care, they find the region’s only anesthesiologists dedicated exclusively to obstetrics, specialized care for high-risk pregnancies and all-private mother/baby rooms with easy access to Kosair Children’s Hospital.
  • Kosair Children’s Maternal-Fetal Medicine Specialists – These specialists provide high-risk pregnancy care for women experiencing multiple births, premature labor, maternal hypertension, diabetes and other pregnancy-related conditions.
  • Neonatal intensive care units – NICUs at Kosair Children’s Hospital and Norton Suburban Hospital provide the highest level of care available (Level III) for our smallest patients.
  • Gynecologic care – We offer the most comprehensive care in the region, including minimally invasive gynecologic surgeries using the less invasive da Vinci surgical system, access to one of the region’s largest teams of gynecologic cancer specialists, a Prevention & Early Detection Program through Norton Cancer Institute and much more.
  • Breast health services – The Norton Cancer Institute Breast Health Program offers a full range of diagnostic and treatment services to help fight breast cancer and promote breast health. In addition to access to medical experts and support services, Norton Cancer Institute offers a number of resources for preventing or assessing risk for breast cancer, including genetic testing.
  • Midlife services – We help women find answers to a whole new set of questions and concerns during midlife – from outpatient resources to education and other support services.

To find a doctor who’s right for you, call us today at (502) 629-1234.

In 2012, Norton Suburban Hospital will transition to a women’s and children’s facility specializing in a transformational model of comprehensive health care
for women, along with expanded services from renowned Kosair Children’s Hospital. The new hospital model will offer care for all aspects of women’s health, such as cardiac and orthopaedic care, breast health, oncology, prevention and wellness.
While the main hospital will focus on caring for women and children, the campus will continue to provide the same high level of quality outpatient and emergency services for men, women and children.

Go Red for Women

Heart disease is the No. 1 killer of women in America. Knowing your numbers is an important part of keeping your heart healthy. Knowing your cholesterol level, blood pressure and body mass index can help you and your physician determine your risks and note the progress you are making toward a healthier heart.

Norton Women’s Care is pleased to be a sponsor of the American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women movement.

The first of its kind in the region, Marshall Women’s Health & Education Center was created to empower women to take charge
of their health. Located at Norton Suburban Hospital, the center provides personalized support for women of all ages through information, education, navigation and physician referrals.
For a free list of ongoing classes available at Marshall Women’s Health & Education Center, call (502) 629-1234.

Marshall Women’s Health & Education Center is funded by the Norton Healthcare Foundation and the Marshall Family Foundation.
